Who We Are

Alisa Scheiner, MA, Loving Decisions Founder and President, has more than 15 years of experience in the senior services field. Her staff of geriatric specialists has worked extensively in the assisted living, home care, nursing home, and geriatric care management industries. Alisa established Loving Decisions to provide education and hands-on support to families who are overwhelmed by assisted living choices and costs. Alisa’s sole mission is to carefully match families to the residential assisted living option that best meets their needs.

Kim Armistead , Residential Counselor, holds a BS in Social Work, a BA in Psychology and is a certified paralegal. She worked as a social worker in a skilled nursing community for seven years. Kim loves working with the elderly and takes pleasure in helping people find great places to live.

Sheila Griffith, NHA, is Director of Business Development. She has worked in the skilled nursing, long-term care and residential housing industries for over 15 years. Sheila is also licensed in the state of Maryland as a nursing home administrator.

Jessica Hallis, Operations Manager, graduated from UMBC Erickson School of Management of Aging Services. She has always enjoyed interacting with a variety of people and sees Loving Decisions as a way to utilize her skills and interests.

Kathy Rickard, Director of Client Services, continues a ten-year commitment to helping seniors and their families navigate the housing options that best meet their needs. She has held positions in both residential and large assisted living communities, including administration, admissions, marketing, and program planning. Kathy has an Associate of Arts degree and is currently working toward an undergraduate degree in Gerontology.

Susan Witter, Residential Counselor, has a BA in Psychology and is currently studying for a Masters of Social Work degree. For the past ten years, she has worked in assisted living communities as a marketing director and an administrator. Susan is deeply committed to caring for seniors and their families and providing support and encouragement during times of transition.
